Technical Requirements

File Requirements for Mastering

Hi there,
Please prepare your mix according to these simple points. This helps us get you the best possible master.

  1. The Essentials:

  2. Format: Send us WAV or AIFF files.

  3. Bit depth: 24-bit or 32-bit float is best. Please avoid 16-bit.

  4. Sample rate: Keep the rate you recorded at (44.1kHz, 48kHz, etc.).

  5. No MP3s, unless it’s absolutely the only version you have.

  6. Before Exporting:

  7. Leave Headroom: Turn down your master fader so the loudest peak is around -3 dB.

  8. Turn Off Mastering Plugins: Please disable any limiter, maximizer, or master bus compressor on your final mix.

  9. No Dithering: Don’t apply dither when exporting.

  10. A Couple of Helpful Tips:

  11. Let Us Handle Fades: Don’t add fade-ins or fade-outs to the final file; we’ll take care of that.

  12. Name Your Files: Please name your file like this: Artist Name – Song Title.wav
    (Example: artist name – song title.wav)

Pro Tip: Sending a reference track (a song whose sound you like) is always a great idea and helps us understand your goal faster.
